Description
Explore the wilderness of Tasek Merimbun declared as ASEAN heritage site in 1984. It is the largest black water lake in Brunei that was divided into two connected lakes with a total of 220 hectares. Various rare fauna are found here, such as White-Collared Fruit Bats which are thought to be extinct, elusive Clouded Leopard, Red Leaf Monkey, Gibbon and rare flora such as Tiger Orchid, Nepenthes and etc. It has been recorded that there are over 200 bird species, 50 species of freshwater fishes and 83 mammal species. Be amazed by the beautiful native plant such as Purun that grows wild in abundance in the lake. On top of that, learn about the mystery, myths and folklore of the lake! This tour was designed to start early morning or late afternoon for maximum experience of wilderness! A short trek to the trails – a wild uncultivated land which has a variety species of flora and fauna.

Some Things to Note
Entry into museums, mosques and galleries on this tour are free-of-charge. Most venues involve steps, and do not have elevator facilities for those who have difficulty. However, guests with special needs/conditions requiring assistance may still be accommodated. Kindly state special needs/conditions at time of enquiry.
Arrangement of visits and photo stops not necessarily in the order given in the itinerary. As a nature/outdoors tour, there are many variables which are beyond our control, such as the weather conditions, and the availability and abundance of wildlife spotted. We do not guarantee sightings, but do ensure we do our best by setting tours at times of day which are known to be good times for sightings, and we also choose areas where sightings are most often reported.
Pick-up/Drop-off within BSB & its vicinity include all town centre hotels and locations, as well as hotels and locations at Mile 1, Kiulap, Gadong, Mata-Mata and Berakas, and excludes Jerudong and other areas. Kindly enquire on your location to be sure.
Duration of tour is calculated beginning from pre-arranged pick-up time to the pre-arranged drop-off time, unless otherwise stated. As a guided tour, timing and duration of visits and stops are pre-arranged, and any requests, demands or expectation for longer duration will not be entertained. Guests requesting pick-up and drop-off from Jerudong and its vicinity (Empire Hotel) will have tour commencement half an hour earlier, and end half an hour later.
