Explore the wilderness of Tasek Merimbun declared as ASEAN heritage site in 1984. It is the largest black water lake in Brunei that was divided into two connected lakes with a total of 220 hectares. Various rare fauna are found here, such as White-Collared Fruit Bat which thought to be extinct, elusive Clouded Leopard, Red Monkey, Gibbon and rare flora such as Tiger Orchid, Nepenthes and etc. It has been recorded that there are over 200 bird species, 50 species of freshwater fishes and 83 mammal species. Best way to experience Tasek Merimbun is by taking a spectacular lake cruise. Amaze by the beautiful native plant such as Purun that grows wild in abundance in the lake. On top of that, learn about the mystery, myths and folklore of the lake! This tour was designed to start early morning or late afternoon for maximum experience of wilderness! A short trek to the trails – a wild uncultivated land which has a variety species of flora and fauna.

Some Things to Note:

Entry into museums, mosques and galleries on this tour are free-of-charge.

Some air-conditioned venues require removal of footwear, so cotton socks are encouraged for those uncomfortable with cold tiled floors.

Most venues involve steps, and do not have elevator facilities for those who have difficulty. However, guests with special needs/conditions requiring assistance may still be accommodated. Kindly state special needs/conditions at time of enquiry.

Arrangement of visits and photo stops not necessarily in the order given in the itinerary.

Any tours on Thursdays and Fridays have to take into consideration changes to itinerary, as mosques are closed on Thursdays and until late afternoon on Fridays, and museums and galleries close from 11:30-14:30hrs on Fridays. Kindly enquire for more information.

Pick-up/Drop-off within BSB & its vicinity include all town centre hotels and locations, as well as hotels and locations at Mile 1, Kiulap, Gadong, Mata-Mata and Berakas, and excludes Jerudong and other areas. Kindly enquire on your location to be sure.

Duration of tour is calculated beginning from pre-arranged pick-up time to the pre-arranged drop-off time, unless otherwise stated.

As a guided tour, timing and duration of visits and stops are pre-arranged, and any requests, demands or expectation for longer durations will not be entertained.

Guests requesting pick-up and drop-off from Jerudong and its vicinity (Empire Hotel) will have tour commencement half an hour earlier, and end half an hour later.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?
Bookings may be made via email, phone or fax, subject to availability on the given dates and subsequent confirmation by us. For prompt responses, we recommend making your booking through our Online Booking Form on our main website.

Bookings are deemed to be secured only upon receiving full payment from guests.

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?
The payments methods available to guests are outlined below:

Online Bookings (Overseas Guests)
Once the details of tours/services have been finalised, full payment has to be made immediately in order to confirm booking. You may choose to pay via:

1. Credit/Debit card OR other acceptable methods payable via Paypal
Once finalised, and if this is the chosen method of payment, we will generate an invoice on Paypal for you to settle in full.

2. Telegraphic Transfer to our Brunei bank account
All charges are to be borne by guest.

An official receipt will only be issued upon request, and will be collected at time of tour commencement.

Walk-In Bookings (Brunei-based Guests)
For Brunei-based guests, payment has to be made at our office during office hours, as soon as practicable after booking is confirmed by us OR latest 3 days before tour commencement, whichever is sooner. Alternate arrangements may be discussed on a case-to-case basis.

Payments may be made by credit/debit card (Mastercard only), or in cash in Brunei Dollars, or Singapore Dollars (for the latter, torn notes and S$1 coins will not be accepted).

An official receipt will be issued upon receipt of full payment.
